| 1 | Cover the eye to prevent the day from causing injury. |
| 2 | Instruct the person (patient) to put her hair lose and gently apply DDT in each part till the head is entirely covered. The nurse should not touch the head as she applies DDT. |
| 3 | Apply benzyl benzoate with a swab saturated and apply to scalp and hair. |
| 4 | The person must wash the hair and scalp. |
| 5 | Cover the hair with a cloth and instruct the person to leave it for 24hrs. |
